Full Job Description:

Generate and develop new sales in a set area
Close sales leads and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Assist agents and dealers during the pre-and post-sales process
Travel for customer visits, tradeshows etc.
Have an understanding of technical drawings provided and be able to deliver these to end users
Coordinate potential distributor & customer sales visits to HQ in Athy, Kildare.
Experience in the Agriculture / Dairy farming sector is desirable
Previous Field Sales experience is an advantage but not essential
Good communication skills

Installation Fitter

Full Job Description:

We currently require Installation Fitters, who are flexible and willing to work at our manufacturing factory or customer sites throughout the country. Travelling outside Ireland is also required.

The successful candidate will:

· Have experience or a qualification in: mechanical, welding, fitting, electrical, plumbing or fabrication.

· Have good practical skills and be highly motivated.

· Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

· Be confident to work on own initiative as well as being a team player.

· Be flexible to work overtime.

· Have a background in engineering, agriculture or the dairy industry would be an advantage.

· Be flexible to work varied roles in different departments if required.

· Have pride in own workmanship and maintain a high standard.

· Be organized and able to work well under pressure.

· The ability to MIG, TIG & MMA welding would be an advantage.

I really enjoy working in and being part of the Pearson team. There is a great variety of work and people. Team building and creating positive attitudes is part of the Pearson ethos. I always feel valued in all tasks that are completed and have been asked of and there is always room for development as both an employee and person. Our production facility is very safe with modern and comfortable work spaces. Working hours never change, there is no shift work and the location is very accessible for me. There is a canteen for lunch, lockers provided for personal belongings and there is on site parking. Good communication between management and employees with regular feedback on tasks so as to constantly be improving where necessary. I was provided with all the necessary training for any of the work I am involved in.

My Journey
I started working in goods in/good out. From here I proceeded to a warehouse picker. During this time I got a lot of insight into the parts and I was educated on what they were used for and where. After this I became team leader/ supervisor where I then started looking at how we could change some aspects for the better and where we could make improvements within the stores. Lean methodology is a big part of the workplace. We started having daily meetings within the team to give clear views on jobs that were on the radar for the week and just to check in with everyone so that there was no confusion. After this I was given more training as I developed in the company. From supervisor I then became stores manager where I am now looking after logistics, shipping of pick lists for site, working within deadlines and dealing with queries from our installation team and multiple distributors across the globe.
